Family chats and office pools play the game completely differently. One is loud, sentimental and full of loyalty picks; the other is competitive, data-curious and absolutely ruthless about a missed deadline. So which tribe actually calls it better?
The case for each
Office pools tend to hedge – they chase fewer hearts-over-heads picks and grind out consistency, which keeps them off the bottom of the table. Family leagues swing harder: when a relative goes rogue on a gut call it lands more often than it has any right to, so they tend to own both the top and the very bottom.
There's no settling it in the abstract – the only honest answer is whichever one you're losing in. Start both, and let your all-time table tell you where your real talent lies.
